morning

I feel like poo. Got the start of DS's cold and cough this calls for serious echinacea! Only got one mindee today, ds at nursery this morning so going to soft play and as mindee is under one it'll be free . hopefully copious amounts of coffee will make me feel better.
I'll pop in again at lunch time, see ya

ps, Any ideas???

Katymac · 27/11/2007 09:35

OK

I have been offered a new toy from a parent for Christmas

What can I pick?

Ideally a toy for a baby (as her child is)

Maybe a baby gym?

Please help??

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 27/11/2007 09:42

MamaG - I've replied

fruitloop - sympathies as I've felt like crap for days now, almost lost my voice (pleases dh!! ). As for cheap stuff, I like The Works if you have one near you, it's fab. Ours isn't very good but my parents local one is great and if we see them at Christmas, they have a big present for 'Helen's Little Angels' and it's filled with arts and craf stuff

Katy - playmat sounds good, how much are we talking do you think? Maybe one of those wooden block things with all sorts on it (god, wish I could think of the name for it!!!)

Right, I'm off to make a cuppa but if anyone caught up with my email thing in yesteday's staff room - I emailed her back last night and all sorts of things have come up and I'm wondering if any of you guys would be willing to help me sort this whole thing out???

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 27/11/2007 10:19

Need more help ASAP.....

I've had another text from that lady who let me down last week about the 1 hour a week care

SweetSnowflake · 27/11/2007 12:03

Hey everyone, who was it that was very blue peterish and making christmas decs out of old c.d's???have sorted through mine and asked dp to nab some from sainsburies(not the ones for sale you understand the freebie internet ones by the till)..but dont know what im supposed to do with them and cant find thread?????

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 27/11/2007 12:48

Me! Hold on!

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 27/11/2007 12:51

Just posted this on another thread too! Look on my profile, there's a picture. Its not terribly clearn, because its shiney, but you get the idea.

You need to stick two cd's front to front and then cut of shapes for hat, trim, holly, berries and 5 black stone-like shapes each. You could use craft foam for the eyes and nose, but I have used orange pom poms and big googly eyes.

If you use glue dots you can pre-stick everything, leaving the backing on them, so that the children can just peal the back off and stick.

Finish them off with a peice of ribbon on the back, first attached to the cd and then again on the back of the hat. This will stop the hat from falling forward.

hello all, we got all the outside lights out to check them last night and a couple of bulbs had gone so went to get some more and ended up buying another outside light we will look like whoville.

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 27/11/2007 13:11

Is it a bit National Lampoon? Can't wait to see the pictures. You will take one won't you?

We don't have outside lights. Its bad enough I have to have a boat on the front, without bringing attention to it! I like to keep my Christmas a mystery anyway. Just a tiny crack in the curtain, with a little view of the lights, so no-one really knows whats going on, but really wants to know!

SweetSnowflake · 27/11/2007 14:18

cheers Mo, i started the other one cos i thought everyone was busy over lunch apart from me!

well we (i say we, mindee has no concentration and walked off after 5 mins), so I cut out some white card, stuck it to 'writing' side of disc, then tied long coloured pipe cleaners thruogh the hole and into a lop so they fit nicely onto a tree...then we had loads(you dont relaise how muc youve got do you!) of little shiny shapes, hearts, circles, squares , stars in all colours plus some pre sticky shapes, bendy soft rec craft mesh, feathers and so on, so got to work, mindee did one which i helped and i did two myself..they're gorge..mines all pinky and white with feathers and sparkles(dd's gunna love it, so put her name in glitter pink glue on the back)

so now ive got it allr eady for dd and after schoolys and dp is bringing me home some bubble wrap and freeby discs...p.s, house on school run have got their dec ups..really nice/tasteful ones too

shoshaliteupthetree · 27/11/2007 14:23

more than a bit Mo will post photos om sunday when they are all up. have you looked at my piccies recently?

SweetSnowflake · 27/11/2007 14:28

Arrrrrrgh ran out of pva...dya think dd's school will sell me a pot?

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 27/11/2007 15:14
