eleanorsmum · 19/11/2007 07:17

ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh congrats fruit loop, i feel champers coming out! and maybe a few chocs to celebrate too!

still in dilema about potential new client mon-fri 11.20 til 1.10 no food! first enquiry don't want to say no but this would eat up a full time place for 2 hours a day. think i will quote really high, minimum 3 hours and pick up fee. aslo i think it's only till july as then she'll be at school. think i need to speak to mum again!

have good day everyone

I'm off to a management course today (in the rain) & I'd rather go back to bed - I have now been ill for 40 days (fgs)

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 19/11/2007 08:19

How wet is it out there? Its absolutely hammering down here. Couldn't be any other day, when I have enough room for a car load. could it? Too many bodies for the car,so I will have to put me silly hat on and walk.

Congrats Loopy! Thats fab news. Were you expecting it or was it a complete suprise? Where did he do it?

Morning to evenone else too!

OFSTEDoutstanding · 19/11/2007 08:58

Mindee has arrived this morning with a really bad cough, every time he coughs it sounds like he is about to vomit? What should I do ring parents or wait to see how he gets on, has already refused breakfast and now sitting there staring at colouring sheet almost asleep. My ds has had cold last week that he is just getting over advice please if anyone has any thanks

MamaG · 19/11/2007 08:59

Congratulations froot!

Plonks huge bar of Dairy Milk in shosha's lap

fruitloop79 · 19/11/2007 09:09

ahh thanks guys,

Was at a lovely restaurant in Battersea, he booked table for 6 of us, arranged for us to get there an hour before our friends. He had been running around organising it for 2 days, even took fri off work (bless him), got some of the staff at restaurant involved too.

I was very impressed actually cos he's not the romantic type - reckons you need money to be romantic

I knew he was gonna do it cos I actually chose the ring as he was stressing out about it too much! I had no idea when he was gonna do it though cos it had to be sent to jewellers to get valued and re-sized, its still too big though.

It's absolutely chucking it down here in London, thank the lord I have a car and all kids fit in!

Off to group now, catch you later!

OFSTEDoutstanding · 19/11/2007 10:25

El's mum- not really sure what I'd do. Depends if it's busy where you are. If there's loads of work I'd say not bother.

fruitloop79 · 19/11/2007 13:21

I'm still wondering where this 'bar' is. I looked in 'chat' on fri night, then started searching but couldnt find it, then I realised how sad I was looking for a virtual bar on a friday night

LoveMyGirls · 19/11/2007 13:33

Hi everyone

Congratulations Fruit!!!!!!!!!

I've got an ill mindee, has raging temp - phoned mum and she said "oh yeh he was like that last night but ok this morning " So i'm dropping him home soon.

fruitloop79 · 19/11/2007 13:45

it's SW London, It's the borough of Wimbledon. I have no Idea how far Rainbows stretch, thought it might have been same one

eleanorsmum · 19/11/2007 13:47

fruitloop79 · 19/11/2007 13:52

I have no idea where to start. I'm very behind on my accounts - got a big bunch of receipts somewhere, got to start this Early years c**p, and I havnt even got any policies set up .
Not used to all this paperwork as I used to be a nanny

eleanorsmum · 19/11/2007 13:54

GET OFF THE PC ELM! ok ok i hera ya!

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 19/11/2007 14:07

Afternoon all! A rainbow is whatever length the rain stretches. Can't remember the proper explanation, but its got something to do with the sun light hitting the rain and it makes a rainbow. I know its call refraction though!

Typically, I don't think there was a bar on Friday night Loopy. There was a cool night club on Saturday night though, me a Ju had a bit of a dance! Bar was open last night too, although I didn't venture in.

Hennipenniinapeartree · 19/11/2007 14:16

Afternoon ladies. Congrats to FL. I'm impressed tht so many of you manage to get on here before the school run, I'm extremely lucky if I've managed to brush my hair!{grin]. Gotta go toddler mindee has just soiled nappy and needs changing PDQ otherwise ends up with horrendous napppy rash. byeee

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 19/11/2007 16:01

Dilema girls! My policy is one months notice on both sides. I have got 2 weeks off over Christmas, mainly because I've got jury service, otherwise, I'd help out with anyone who needs me. So, obviously, no one is paying for those two weeks. So, theorically, if I had a job starting 7th January, I need to give my parents 4 weeks notice from 10th December. So, why do I feel so damn guilty that if I apply for this job and get it, thats only 2 weeks away and means that for 2 of my weeks notice, I wouldn't be working anyway! I feel dreadful. I was looking at how far I'd come with my little one today. She's got to the stage where mum doesn't even get a backward glance when she drops off now. It took a long time, because she only comes 2 days a week. I couldn't help thinking that she'd have to start all over again. Its not my problem right? They wouldn't think about me if the tables were turned, right?

I really want to apply for this job, but I can't afford to be without money at all, so I can't give anyone anymore than the minimum notice. Its only 2 parents in particular, who I know will be upset, but what can I do? Nothing really. No contracts will be breeched, so thats that.

Anyway, I've got to go and do Rainbows now, so I'll be back about 5.45.
