Taking ds out of nursery and waiting for my friend to become a reg CM, what to do voucher wise?

Hi ther, just wondering if anyone can give me some advise.
My ds has been at nursery for 3 weeks and I'm not happy with the overall care.
My friend has signed up to become a childminder but the first course is not until March.
I need her from Jan so she would be our nanny at home until she becomes registered (how long does it normally take, and is there any checks or anything she can start doing to speed up the process?)

But I just signed up at work with the childcare scheme and can't cancel for the first year, so if my cash goes on my account each month, can it be kept ther for months until my cm becomes registered? does the cash in the accounts expire? I am with care-4.
Many thanks if anyone can tell me about their experience.
P

yes, the money will just build up until you use it - it won't expire.
dh has childcare voucher system at work and about 4 months into signing up for it I went on mat leave and we didn't use any childminders so the money just sat in the account building up. Was quite nice when I did return to work as we had a good lump there for (almost) the first term back

I'd said about 3 months to be registered. She can then sign up for care-4 vouchers and you have the answer about them being saved up (I didn't know that bit).

All sounds fine to me

You don't have to do the course before registering - you can register and do the ICP and 1st Aid within 6 months so she may be registered before March if you're lucky. At least that's what my Early Years team told me!

Our vouchers are valid for 12m from the date of issue, we get Busy Bees from DPs work.
