My mum (who amongst other things has run a toy library) sweears by those plastic zip-up wallet things, like children sometimes have for reading books.

See if you can get those clear sweetie boxes with lids

Mine are in those zip lock book bags, I cut the picture off the front and store them all in a file cabinet drawer

Back in my playgroup days, we used ZipBags and icecream tubs. Tubs were best for puzzles with small pieces, ZipBags for floor puzzles/large pieces.

Each box would be coded, and same code was written on back of each puzzle piece, so when a stray piece was found, it could be easily reunited with it's friends

Icecream tubs will often stack quite well, especially tubs with lids which have a high ridge.

I use those laundry bags. You know, the ones that look like those bags you used to get for putting washing tablets in. They're zip up and just the right size for most puzzles.

I make ds do one at a time and put them all back in the box

they live on a high shelf in a cupboard so only i can access them so they only come out when he's actually wanting to do them

(i'm ridiculously anal about jigsaws and would be most upset if we lost a piece...i really need to get out more)
