Horrible agency Tinies

I've literally had the worst experience w one of the worst agencies in all of london.

My husband and I are looking for a nanny for our child and it's just been such a nightmare dealing w this agency. They sent the most unsuitable woman who flat out lied about about the complaints that my husband and I raised, the agency choose to believe her (because she's had 1 employment that lasted 5years(!!)) over us as a client, they have gone out of their way to causes so much distress and hassle and when we asked for a replacement they would just send anyone's cv as they do not care because they've gotten their 6000 deposit.

From all i've heard about this agency it's the same complains, I don't know if I should report them somewhere, does anyone know how to find a good nanny I'm sick of these leeches

You could look on childcare.co.uk or nannyjob.

I'm sorry to hear you've had such a poor experience but this a problem with many agencies as they are often set up by individuals who have zero training or experience in either childcare or recruitment services meaning that customers are exposed to poor quality nannies and babysitters.

It's something I'm very passionate about and am currently campaigning to have the nanny and babysitting industry regulated so that there are minimum standards which reflect the rest of the childcare and education industry.

There are some brilliant agencies out there but take care to check their backgrounds. Regulation Matters UK website will have a list of agencies who have signed up to their nanny agency standards so may be a good place to start.

Good luck with your search and I hope you have a better experience moving forwards.

We used them and I agree that they were useless. We had to use an agency to get the tax free childcare. We're in Scotland and paid £800ish fee which I thought was a lot... 6k!!
