Full English today!

Bacon, sausages, beans, fried eggs, mushrooms, the lot. (No black pudding)

Getting a bit desperate... have had no interest for January and we want to get a new bathroom! I've specifed no babies on the council website - is that where I'm going wrong? Aren't babies the most difficult age to mind? If you tell me they are easy then I'll have a rethink!

How do I get parents at the school to know I'm a childminder? I'm a bit shy and not great at just randomly chatting. I was thinking of wearing a sandwich board .

Hi SM, babies are easy, especially if they are 4/5 months, they settle well, they no no different than being at the CM, I LOVE BABIES. plus there is never enough baby spaces, so there is always someone looking. have you but notices in your local antinatal clinc, and baby clinic?

MaureenMLove · 09/11/2007 07:18

Oh god yes! Babies are easy! Get yourself back on that list and you'll be full before you know it!

Morning btw. I'm having muffins and butter atm, but if someone put a full English in front of me, I wouldn't say no!

No-one in a flood risk area are they? Just Katymac is a possible, I think, but its not looking as bad as they thought just now anyway.

Did you get word from your DB Shosh?

eleanorsmum · 09/11/2007 07:24

mmmmmmmmmmmmm makes my fruit and yog seem very unappetising! go on share..........................

shoshalite · 09/11/2007 07:29

Younger DB spoke to him, but he wasnt allowed to say, anything apart from being OK, Mo.

But he is back on R&R soon so will know more then, still as angry this morning must admit, at the amount of servicemen who die needlessly, the fault on the refulelling of Nimrods was known BEFORE the last one went down, killing 14.

StrawberryMartini · 09/11/2007 07:46

Right I may try a baby but if it cries I'm going to give it back.

LoveMyGirls · 09/11/2007 07:56

Morning,

My head still hurts, more so when i move it though, at least its friday! Now all I need to do is be able to switch off at 6pm so I can be fully rested to start again on monday.....anyone got any tips for shutting off?

MaureenMLove · 09/11/2007 08:05

Wine on tap? I bought a box of wine yesterday, for our party tomorrow and I just couldn't help opening it to test it last night!

MaureenMLove · 09/11/2007 08:23

Oh no! I think I've got the beginings of a migrine! Do I not need that today. Got to easy mindees today. My best ever client and my next door neighbours boy, so things don't need to be strictly by the book! I could surround them with toys and lay on the settee, if necessary, in other words! Had my pills, but can feel the dull ache. Eyes were fuzzy, but not as bad now.

crace · 09/11/2007 08:59

LMG - yes I do, a book and a quiet place. Usually puts me to sleep too.

Mo, hope the migraine gets better, not ideal!

Oh, and pass over the muffins

looneytune · 09/11/2007 09:38

Morning all.....

Strawbs....I could kiss you!!! That is the very thing I keep craving and well.....yum, yum, yum is all I can say!!! (I've become a food addict haven't I! ) Any fried bread??? As for babies.....they are GREAT. My 2 now (nearly 11 months and nearly 9 months) started at 7 weeks and 8 weeks. I loved having them so little (oh...how cute!!) BUT it was very hard to start with as no routine but it's fab now (although I secretly miss them being so diddy!). I'd struggle to fill spaces (if I had any) with not having babies down as most calls I get are for parents just starting work after maternity leave. I have one booked in to start in January when baby will be 10 months old. What age is on your listing?

LMGs - your poor head, roll on end of day when you can go hide somewhere quiet??? (is dp taking over after?)

Mo - sorry about your migraine.....not due to the wine last night is it?

Right, quick tidy of breakfast things then I'll put baby down for a nap and eat this full english.....can't wait

MissInvisible · 09/11/2007 10:48

crace · 09/11/2007 14:09

Holy heck, is it crap on crace day or what?!?! My baby mindee is teething and has had poos up the back 3 times today, 18 mo mindee 2 huge poos and my own 23 mo dd has poo'd 3 x and just thrown up all over me and the couch.

What did I do to deserve this?!?

Blech - not ideal with sickness

MaureenMLove · 09/11/2007 14:21

Oh crace you poor old thing! Looking on the bright side, things can only get better!

Headache didn't amount too much, thank god. I must have got it just in time. My eyes were a bit blury for about an hour and I could feel the usual pain all over my head, but thankfully, it went as quickly as it arrived.

I've just made proper hotdogs for lunch, with onions and everything! The two mindees loved them! We're following them with donuts! How bad it that? Do I look bovvered!
