Where do I find a nice live-in nanny? We're in SW London (Fulham)

Can anyone recommend an agency or board where I should start looking?
I tried Kiwi Oz but they were a little bit rude/couldn't be bothered, so I'm not sure where else to look.
I've heard Occasional and Permanent are good, and Childhood Nannies.
What does anyone think? And what will it cost me? My children are 2 and 6 months and I've got to go back to work full-time.
Thanks!

I would have a run through Gumtree, Simply Childcare and nannyjob before you start paying agencies finders fees. You live in the sort of area which should attract quite a few applicants, I think you will find someone quite quickly through that route. Agencies fees can be really steep in central London, the one I have dealt with out our way just seemed...well...wasn't that informed on tax/contract issues...quite self-serving, etc etc.

We've just recruited through Gumtree. I was wary at first at how I'd manage to sort through all of the applicants on my own without a sounding board like an agency for advice but it is really doable in fact.

I'm with Occasional and Permanent and would recommend them. Would imagine they cost loads though.

Agree with Harriet. You will find much better advice on here than you will from any agency. And we are free.

My fab ex nanny is looking or a job at the mo. Live out though... She lives in Hounslow so providing you are near to the the station its a very sort commute to fulham.

Shes a lovely girl, english, mid 20s, qualified, first aid, brilliant refs etc (would love to need a nanny still so I could re employ her). Well if you would consider a live out and want her contact details email me and I will pass them on.

Regards
Jenna
