Me and DH were discussing having another LO, because they are so scrumptious! I am a CM. We have 3 DC already, so my registration is for 3 under 8. If we were to get pg, would I have to terminate a contract or would they allow it under continuity of care?

All you can do is write to them and ask - nothing is set in stone with them! Good luck :-)

Well, it seems that I would have to apply for a variation. But what if, say, I got pg, I applied for a variation and it was rejected? There would be one mindee being carted off to another childminder, which would mean an upset mindee, upset parent(s) and upset me, PLUS a lower income for me! Not a good situation. So do we just finish having the rest of our family until one of our own reaches the age of 8? Is that fair? Am I being selfish?

What a P in the A! Sorry. Needed a rant.

Well I'm afraid it's just how it goes I had to wait til ds would be classed as over 5 by the time baby was born before I could afford to ttc. I'd have thought OFSTED would give you variation if continuity of care but you can't guarantee it til the time comes I don't think.
