A quick question for childminders please. As a registered childminder, what happens if I am really sick? Are there procedures I should follow, I'm guessing the parent would have to look after their child but what notice would I have to give.

Also, I'm assuming I can accept childcare vouchers. Before I offer this, are there any issues I should know about them?

Thanks for your help

You can't look afetr children if you are ill, you generally get no notice of being ill, you make phone calls either in the evening before (if it comes on then) or more normally at 7am the next morning (eg been throwing up since 3 am can't have any children......)

I don't have issues with vouchers but they can be a bit late paying

Chill - you will be fine (after all you have the whole of MN experience behind you) - just ask)
