I was wondering what union / organisation other than NCMA represents the voice of childminders.

In Scotland and Wales I expect there is another organisation - or are they affiliated to NCMA?

Is there a childcare workers trade union... anyone know?

England & Wales - www.ncma.org.uk
Scotland - www.childminding.org
Northern Ireland - www.nicma.org

I don't know any other groups that would represent childminders/campaign etc.

No there is no union for cm's you are self employed.

NCMA was started by cm's in 1977 and has grown into the professional organisation we now have they are the only association representing cm's at government, national and local level.
