How to choose a nursery during Covid lockdown?

I’m due back to work in May.
PFB is now nearly 10 months. We’re moving to a new area of the country in a few weeks.
I’m trying to find a nursery place but we’re not able to physically visit any because of Covid lockdown restrictions, and this is making it very hard for me to choose, as I don’t feel comfortable sending my baby to a place I have never been before with people I have never met!
Has anyone else faced this issue? How are you choosing your childcare during the lockdown?

Thanks in advance!

First of all I think you need to look at all the options and find out where has space. Then try to narrow the choices down by what looks like it is suitable for you. You should be able to meet them outside I believe.
I would also ask on local Facebook groups to see what other parents recommend

Depending on the policy of the nursery/childminder then you may be able to visit the setting. I’m a childminder if a parent is looking for childcare to start very soon, then they are allowed to come for a chat after working hours, whilst we all wear masks. This is allowed but individual nurseries and childminders will have their own policies. Good luck in your search
