Mindee has recently reverted back to when she first came and is hitting, pushing and being very nasty and spiteful to the other(and sometimes much older) children.
I cant exlain to her any more about why we dont hit/hurt/say nasty things and lie, she doesnt take it in and neither do her parents as everytime something happens i tell them and can see it go's straight over their heads, i am getting very frustrated now and its not fair on other mindees.
This child is on time out NOW, already for pushing dd overshe was in and out of living room(quiet room for time out) all day yesterday but it made no difference..will be back and forward here if anyone can help

ANYONE ..PLEASE..mindee started pushing dd this morning, so we all hot footed it to halloween activity, thinking this will be nice, dd loved it collecting all sorts of coloured things from the park and sticking onto sticky leaf shaped papers..mindee walked round with scowl on her face and kept shouting "i WANT to go back inside", i told her we were not going back inside and that we were with the group making leaves and having fun..rather we were!, she walked around, did one of the leaves begrudgingly then refused to talk or be helped by anyone, wouldnt do anymore leaves and park ranger was looking at me like id said she could only do one, then i told her it was her choice!
We went back in to stick leaves up then went to my mums for lunch, afterwards, she was putting her boots on and couldnt do it properly, as i was putting my coat on myself, i then planned to help her zip them up, when i looked she was sat crying!?i said all she had to do was ask and i was going to help once i had my coat on but she SOBBED(totally distraught???!!!)

argghhhh...i cant carry on like this, im getting no where apart from stressed out very quickly and im not getting through to child or parent at all...i need support here and im getting a brick wall, rang c.c.co ordinator, shes on hol, other c.c helper was supposed to ring me back but hasnt

Ive told ehr to go for a nap now as this time is when shes at her worst!

There's probably stuff going on at home that you don't know about. It's so hard, when we have small groups this behaviour has huge negative effects.

Explain to the parents that you can't put up with this and you are going to put some sort of chart/pasta jar thing in place.

Most of all could you manage some time with mindee on her own, doing something like a walk where you can talk without looking at each other or making it really serious? it's hard to talk about feelings but you could explain that you feel sad when she's unhappy and want to know if you can help put it right.

They carry stuff around and act out, it's so sad and so hard for you.

thanks Em and how are things for you today?

well mindee has been 'ok' today, no hitting yet but dd is wary of her now and keeps saying xxx was 'about' to push me..suppose its a natural reaction for kids to do when its been haooening all week!
