Nanny family/Quarantine

Hi, I hope you’re all well. I just wanted to see if anyone could help me this this..

My nanny family are going to Switzerland this weekend for Christmas for 3 weeks. When they come back they will need to quarantine. Am I allowed to go into work as soon as they get back? I do have another job on Fridays and live with my partner who works outside the home.

I’m unsure what the current guidelines are with this situation so if anyone could help that would be great!

TIA x

There is no guidance for nannies. DfE just refer us to
www.gov.uk/guidance/working-safely-during-coronavirus-covid-19/homes
Which is not very helpful in this situation, in it's current form. It does get changed now and then, so maybe a future edition will say something. For now, you cannot go in if someone is isolating due to a symptom. So as long as no symptom, you can go in.

Your employer should do a risk assessment. You should consider if it is really necessary for you to be there. If it is necessary then you should take precautions where possible.

If I went abroad alone my husband and child wouldn’t need to isolate with me when I get home, so I would think you would be able to go ok?

If they are quarantining they you shouldn’t go in

They wil be there to look after kids
