What age is acceptable and what do they need to know?

Been discussing with friends n have;
Strangers
First aid
Fire
Flood
Something breaks
What if parent / carer not home n u can't contact

Differing views on age n advice ..... thoughts please .....

I told mine about the power going out if the circuit breaker trips.

I also told them about what to do if someone they know knocks on the door...and mentioned various people...and what their reaction should be.

So...no going out with mates if they call...no answering the door to adults even if they know them aside from three that I had specified as safe. (their Nan, their Aunt and their Cousin)

I happily leave my 12yo alone for the day if I need to but wouldn’t leave both DC until they’re a lot older, just because of fights with each other getting out of control.
