Thought for those of us who are on holiday I would section off a bit of the Staff Room for general layabouts

The rest of you no peeking over the partition and snarling at our laid back week

WTF was that all about??

Got carried away on the 'OFSTED' thread (I knew ThePrisoner would come up trumps ) that I didn't get back in here.

henni - thanks for letting me off, I couldn't live without my bacon sarnies!!! I really hope your dd gets better soon, poor love

MML - I've just had half a pizza and that STILL sounds yummy - has it gone cold or can I have it?

Katy - sorry you're feeling poorly The stress of everything you've got on atm can't be helping!!

MaureenMLove · 20/10/2007 16:16

You are kidding right? I don't share food - ever! DD famously didn't like mint flavour when she was little, so everytime she wanted a bite of what I was having, I'd tell her it had mint in it and she left me alone! You're Ofsted thread is gaining pace. Very good. I haven't got anything to add really, that hasn't already been said. Although, I did get a satisfactory last time because I only had after school kids at the time and she came in August, so I didn't have any kids she could see me interact with! That and I'm not very good at the paperwork! Too busy looking after children! Told all my parents and they gave me the only praise I needed frankly.

Shall I paste that into the thread?

MaureenMLove · 20/10/2007 16:19

I'm nipping down Kbears for a cup of splosh, or maybe wine! She's had dd there since 11.30!so I better show willing and be a good parent/best friend!

FloridaKbear · 20/10/2007 16:26

that woman can hear a kettle boiling a mile away (or maybe 300 yards in our case)!

FloridaKbear · 20/10/2007 16:26

ok, the wine is open....

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 20/10/2007 17:34

Mo - pretty please, YES, all comments are worth posting - OFSTED need to see as much as possible. Another parent has posted on another thread Just asked her to pretty please copy and paste it onto the main one.

WATCH OUT OFSTED!!!

Oh.....wine.....any non-alcoholic??? I'm soooooooo bored of water, decaf tea and cranberry juice!! Gosh, I'm going to be a nightmare by the end of this pregnancy, I wasn't this bad when pg with ds - must be the stress of looking after kids all day every day

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 22/10/2007 08:00

Right......so not to upset anyone doing PROPER work ......I've got bacon butties and a large pot of tea on the go.....anyone for a cuppa and bacon roll??

I've go the Dr's this afternoon and am trying to keep myself busy until then!!!

What you up to today?

Megsdaughter · 22/10/2007 08:12

Wow, don't blame you - you be careful going to the bank won't you!

Megsdaughter · 22/10/2007 08:19

Then goin to do Xmas food shopping, just things like bisuits snacks sort of things, that way I cam spread the cost over a few months, next month I can get the cheeses and things then all I have to get in December is the fresh stuff.

OP posts:
StrawberryMartini · 22/10/2007 08:37

I AM working. Mindee is watching Thomas the Tank Engine. I'm working very hard!

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 22/10/2007 08:39

Not talking to you!!!

MaureenMLove · 22/10/2007 08:43

Can I have a little sit down please, just for a while? You know what, mindee is playing on his PSP that he brought with him. Mum said, he doesn't get to play it much, so you may not get much out of him today. Well, if its OK with his mum, god damn it, why the hell should I even consider anything that might sit better with an Ofsted inspector! I do what the parents want, not them. With every post I read on your thread Looney, another nail goes in the coffin.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 22/10/2007 08:44

Mo - I know, who are we to tell parents what to do. If it's not affecting other mindees then go for it You feeling any better today hun?

MaureenMLove · 22/10/2007 08:45

On a brighter note!

Me & Kbear have a hell of a weekend ahead! She's organised a college reunion for Friday night. One girl, who I have been mates with for 30 odd years will be coming to stay here for the night. Its gonna be a wild night! Then on Saturday, we have the first of many 40th birthday parties and I've got to make the cake!

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 22/10/2007 08:48

Sounds fab. No partying for me for a while!

MaureenMLove · 22/10/2007 08:49

Not effecting anyone, he's the only one here! It might effect dd, because he's brought a PS game too, which needs two players! And a DVD to watch. Its a really chilly day here and the sky is black, so I reckon a snuggle on the sofa day is just what the doctor ordered. Feeling slightly better today. DH is off all week. He's going to knock the wall through into the house from the extension. It could get messy! Signing new mortgage papers this week too. Hope it doesnt take forever to process and get the money to us. Anyone got any idea how long a re-mortgage takes? Changing from one company to another.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 22/10/2007 08:58

We did it YEARS ago but can't remember - will ask dh when he wakes up (he has today off!)

FloridaKbear · 22/10/2007 09:03

What's up Mo? You said you were feeling slightly better? better than what?

FloridaKbear · 22/10/2007 09:04

Better than standing in a field at 7am in -1 degrees?

MaureenMLove · 22/10/2007 09:11

Fed up with Ofsted, being the week before payday and standing in a sodding field for 20 quid for 4 hours!

Oh and to top it all, just checked bank account, to make sure final dd of the month went out OK and DH got paid expenses on Friday! Not huge amounts, but it would have been handy to know!

One more thing, have you still got an oil heater? If so, can I have a borrow? DH pulling wall down this week and he's already taken the rad out and its brass monkeys out there, which will become in here by the end of the week iykwim! Can't type with cold fingers!

FloridaKbear · 22/10/2007 09:33

The oil heater was MIL's. I have a small fan heater but it's not much good in a big area really. I have jumpers ! We were going out today for walk in woods on the strength of yesterday's sunny weather but today is gloomy and I want to do that sofa snuggle with a blanket thing too! I'm only off with the kids for two days though so onwards and outbound! Let's go!

roll on Friday - it will be good!
