Especially as he is now at work and the hoover is sat in the bedroom still full of sick and needs cleaning, which I REFUSE to do!

Just wanted to scream about it as am trying to clean up and make the place completed 'bug' free which is VERY frustrating without a hoover!

AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH

I'm feeling your pain and feeling a wee bit sick at the the same time at the thought of it. Men!

ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 16/10/2007 13:29

He knew how to use a hoover???

TellusMater · 16/10/2007 13:29

Sorry, but PMSL.

Ewwwwwwww

Fimbo · 16/10/2007 13:31

Ugh. I think personally I would need to bin the hoover and buy a new one.

EmsMum · 16/10/2007 13:31

Oh no

If it was me i would try cleaning it. The beater bar might be a bit of a challenge ,and the hose bit.
I would spend 20 mins giving it a go and if it didnt work I would make him buy a new one.

and i'd tell his mum

bodycolder · 16/10/2007 13:46

men

dirtmonkey · 16/10/2007 13:46

Would definitely buy a new one. DH hoovered up spilt curry powder with my lovely little handheld and despite my very best efforts I still get a whiff of curry every time I use it. Vomit is going to be so much more difficult to get rid of. Poor you.

That must be the most expensive throw up of the day...

laura032004 · 16/10/2007 13:51

I suppose it depends on the type of hoover, and if he did it by rolling over it, or with the hose section (if a Dyson or similar). I'd probably attempt to clean my Dyson.

DH did this too in his youth. In fact, he was sick on his computer keyboard, and hoovered it off (but not properly), so his mum ended up cleaning up the keyboard and hoover.

star1976 · 16/10/2007 14:12

It is a Dyson and he used the hose. So I am going to MAKE him try to clean it!

He called a while ago about something and asked why I am sounding stressed with him. Explained that I am finding it very hard to clean the house without a hoover. He started to say something which I think was going to be 'so clean it then' but he thought better of it and said he had to get going! Wise move!

I heard him start hoovering, it was 3am and his son (aged 11 I might add so we are talking proper sick, not baby sick) had missed the bowl i'd provided completely and got it all over his bedroom floor. If I hadn't been in bed recovering from my most recent bout of vomiting, and worring that him hoovering was going to wake DS up, I would have got out of bed and HIT him with the bloody thing!

yuk...there are still loads of bits of tubing, plastic and filters that will need washing/replacing...

I'd rather he had left it on the floor than do that!

suedonim · 16/10/2007 14:32

New hoover, new hoover! Ds1 was rather 'ill' after a night out, as a teenager, and helpfully hoovered up the ensuing vomit......

Rubybees · 16/10/2007 14:38

oh no men eh
