Good morning all. How are we all on this very foggy day? Hope everyone is starting to feel a little better. Its really foggy here today. The best day for walking to school, because we get to see the hundreds of spiders webs on the bushes and tress that would be invisible without the fogginess.

StrawberryMartini · 11/10/2007 10:43

You little tinker.

MaureenMLove · 11/10/2007 10:54

It was very funny though! I can just imagine your face, when you thought we had a troll. I was going to get ruder as well!

Right, got to start painting black paint all over our crayon pictures, so that they're dry for mindees tonight, then I've got to decorate another cake! Not feeling confident about this one. My niece has asked for one I've not tried before -preasure!!

Brilliant a doctors surgery 17 mth mindee turned up last week with spots on her chest, through out the day more appeared. And these really did look like chicken pox, even asked Looney to have a look and had the same opinion. Mindee turned up today, still has some of the spots, some looked like they have/had scabbed over and the others just look like they are going away.

Parent told me doctors said it's infection of the hair follicles. 1. Never heard off this before, 2. there's spots on her chest, around her belly button and just below the nappy line.

Just feel parent is trying to pull the wool over my eyes alittle here. Know both parents are on training courses this week and wouldn't of beable to cancel.

Sorry it's abit long guys, but alway look after 12mth boy, who gets every cough and cold going and CP could do with the last thing he gets at the mo.

Any opinions?

MaureenMLove · 11/10/2007 11:01

Sounds suspiciously like CP to me! Obviously you can't take someelses lo to the doctor, but could you pop to the chemist maybe and see the pharmacist? They are usually better at diagonising things than the doctors! You could maybe say, 'just happened to pop into the chemist for something and the pharmacist suspects this is CP.'

Saz - good idea from Mo there I did this with toddler mindee with her back - you know what I showed you.

Saz73 · 11/10/2007 11:07

Thanks MML and LT might just do that today. Going next door to the chemist, had eating probs with DS he's been so good so he asked for a treat today so promised I would get him one.

Earthymama · 11/10/2007 12:01

Hi you lot, I never thought I'd say this but I wish I was working too...I'm still off though feeling better.

My mum needed some milk and some money to pay her hairdresser so I've wrapped up and walked over to the P.O and who did I see but all my after school mindees, dressed up in Victorian costumes, taking part in Harvest Festival. They looked great but my timing...

Can you believe it, their parents are going to think I'm skiving...but I had to sort stuff out for Ma as DP working late and DGS all poorly so DD can't visit.

Should I text parents?

Megsdaughter · 11/10/2007 12:09

Can I come back in now if I behave myself? please please

It was Mo's fault she told me to be a troll !!!!! honest guv

MaureenMLove · 11/10/2007 12:15

I'd like to be able to deny it, but the evidence is perfectly clear in the bar last night! It was my idea! Although.... you did plant the idea in my head!

EM - good to hear you're on the mend. I'm sure your mindees parents don't think you are skiving, but you could always get a doctors note, in an emergency, if they say anything!

I like calling you Meg actually. She is a witch though, you know, she's got a cat called Mog!

Afternoon all, seems lively in here today??..can i just be a bit boring for a min?
well the parent who was handed two important letters from school yesterday(you know the one)..came to me this morn and said "oh i can go to that meeting on xx, thats far too short notice(a week) how can they expect you to do that?"(this meeting is V.important about homeowrk and helping thier children with new activity packs etc), they then said"oh and the pantomime..> is all they school going?..is your dd going?"(meaning i am expecting you to step into the breech here), i said yes dd is also going..which she is.
i said if they are not going then 'they' must inform the school and speak to her childs teacher personally..

getting ready to do school run, my dd asks me if she is going to pantomime, i say yes mindee says "im not going", i said yes you are all your class are going, its not now its in dec, your mummy is taking you..she then said "oh xxx(name of show)"?, oh yes, you're taking me, mummy told me and nana last night!!!!
Then on way to school, aprent speaking to me about this important meeting and i said i didnt know if xx's mum could make it...mindee piped up "mummy said she had work to go to and xxx(ME!) could take her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dont know wether to {grin] or ..of course i will not take her, im already going with dd to show as parent helper for dd's class, so if needs be and she wont take her dd, ill put it in as hol!.

MissInvisible · 11/10/2007 13:46

sorry she said oh i CANT not can

MamaG · 11/10/2007 13:49

Megsdaughter · 11/10/2007 13:54

PC think its time you put it in writing, that all school appointments, activities are to be kept by the PARENT, NOT by you.

This Parent is really taking the p
