Sorry about tmi....

I've been closed this week so far as ds had bad D & V bug. Yesterday he ate like normal, was only sick once the whole time which was Monday @ 2am and the last D was around lunchtime on Monday. Did a normal looking poo yesterday so thought all clear.

So, parents informed children could come back today and ds was supposed to be back at school.

Well, he woke up 10 mins ago with a leaking pull up - he'd got a slushy poo After dh and I had cleared it all away in the bath, ds complained of a painful tummy so went to the toilet - lots and lots of gas came out and he now feels better atm.

Sooooooooo, do I have to close again today? I thought the bug was all out and now I'm confused? Is this just a reaction to eating like normal again or is the bug still here? If I need to close I need to somehow contact the parents of the 2 mindee sisters I'm due to have and let them down at last min I'd arranged 2 childminders for them yesterday but not sure the same CMs are available today, would need to call but a little early atm. The other mindee is not due to be collected from pre-school til 2.45 so I've got more time for that one.

HELP, don't know what to do??!!

TIA

Dh thinks the bug has gone and ds's tummy is just recovering from it. Ds didn't eat much at all from Friday - Monday and yesterday was the first time he was eating properly since being poorly so that could make sense. What do you think?

I hate having to close but hate even more when it's not clear cut and I don't know what to do

Anyone got any thoughts???

Hi LT

I personally would give it one more day, i know it's not what you want to hear, just incase and to make sure he fully gets it out of his system.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 10/10/2007 06:40

I was thinking that. Don't suppose today is one of those days you have a vacancy? No, seriously, I don't think you have so I need to call those other 2 minders again - not sure when's a reasonable time though?

God, they're going to be so annoyed aren't they

I would only have space this afternoon as the new mindee is half day today.

I thought I was the only one up early this morning, got to tidy up after DH used every pot & pan to cook last nite!!

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 10/10/2007 06:45

Don't worry, I've texted the mum and just hope she gets it soon, otherwise I'll call after 7am, didn't want to call too early and get told off for waking their B & B guests up.

at your dh!!!

Poor him - he must be so miserable

Good luck with the parents

StrawberryMartini · 10/10/2007 07:33

I've got on my policy 48 hours after last spate of diawhatsit (too early to spell).

Hope he feels better soon.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 10/10/2007 07:49

Oh, he's fine in himself - this is what makes it harder to gage if he's ok or not iykwim.

I must admit, I'm very relieved, mum was happy with the 3 minders for her 2 girls, it got complicated with switching minders half way through the day but sorted - phew!

I wish I knew what to do to make ds all better.
