My friend is a childminder in Dunstable - any good?

bloodsuckinglooney · 05/10/2007 09:30

This website will give you a list of local childminders

missyhols · 05/10/2007 09:49

Oh thanks guys. Dunstable may be an option. Can anyone say what the cost usually averages at?

If you look at the link I gave, each childminder SHOULD have a price per hour or something listed. It totally depends on the area, I'm £3.80 per hour but am in Berkshire

missyhols · 05/10/2007 10:10

Thanks. I'll give link a go as soon as i get to computer. Would you pay that for each child or is it diff when you have two in care?

per child but some offer discounts for siblings

smeeinit lives in Redbourn, not far from Luton, but depends where you are really, she is a childminder on here

AskABusyPerson · 08/10/2007 22:13

I'm on Herts/Beds border and charge £4.00 per hour including food but would charge £7 per hour for 2 children. Hope that helps, good luck!

granarybeck · 13/10/2007 18:44

Smeeinit is a childminder in Redbourn. I haven't used her but she offered to help me out when I moved to the area. She very nice.

I would just like to vouch for missyhols (she is lovely! and her dd's are just adorable)I am a childminder on here myself but in Hertford so too far but i know 'missy' through mumsnet!! xx

Santasmissyontheside · 13/10/2007 21:24

Hi smeeinit, we're all good thanks. How are you? Dh and i were talking through things and my earnings would be same if i was part time or if i was full time and paying child care. So will stay part time increase my hours a bit and hubby can have kids when i'm at work. So no childcare costs. Yes i'm at airport. Plus we want to try for one more! I'm mad

Kkey21 hi how are you? I'll email x

Thanks all for your help.

smeeinit · 14/10/2007 10:40

missy, that sounds like a fab idea! why work full time only to pay out the difference in childcare?!!
try for one more! not yet????!!!!
