CM Club - I think I have made a MASSIVE mistake!

I do occasional cover for a family of three girls, the older two quite often and the baby when I can fit her in.

The mum called me to say that she is looking for a new childminder for the baby for four days a week, which I said I can't do and passed her onto a friend.

Now found out that she really needs someone for all three girls (baby four full days and older two four days after school and in holidays).

This would have been the end of all my financial problems and am wondering what on earth I have done!!!!!

Was a while ago advertising to replace mindee 2 (problems with payments and tantrums and biting and the like) but decided to see how it goes as felt guilty.

I would feel SO guilty about letting her go, and therefore I said no to the other baby as financially no better off. But now the older girls are in the equation I am kicking myself!

I hope that doesn't make me sound terrible!

As I said, I passed the enquiry for the baby onto a friend, but the girls mum called me today as she had got my number of an advert I have up, and hadn't realised it was my number.

SO now my friend is all excited about the prospect of a possible new client, the mum is still looking elsewhere anyway, and I am kicking myself cause I wish I had realised it was for all 3 girls and said yes in the first place .

Talk to her about it now Star...you've got nothing to loose surely?

I would explain the situation to her, myself. I know your friend is excited, but you need to think about your own situation. Give her a call!

Agree.....call now.....it's better they all go to someone they already know. At the end of the day, your friend may not have got the job anyway!

Hi i agree talk to her now before friend gets them. If you get an interview and it goes well then mention to your friend that she has been to see you and others !!!

tell the mum you can do the job after all. im sure she'd rather go with you as girls used to you.
