Nursery 2 days or 3days

Interested to hear other experiences of putting a child in nursery 2 days per week. Did they settle ok? My nursery discourages it saying it’s hard for them to get into a routing but not sure if that’s the case or it’s just easier for them. My son is 2 coming 3 and was previously in 3 half days Pre covid but i was considering changing to 2 full days. I’m currently on maternity leave so can do either.

I have children for 1 2 3 or 4 days some 9 to 2 they all settle just like they would if you sent them to n aunt one day a week.....but it's more paperwork per hour for them so less cost effective

Thank you jannier I did think that may be the case! Think 2 full days would be more beneficial for us now so will see if nursery will be able to accommodate.

I think that’s an excuse as they want children in more; my 2 year old went one day a week and settled fine.

I think no less then twice a week

7 days /once a week is a long time to a child

Mine struggled with 1 day a week but was fine with 2.

Mine has been absolutely fine one one day a week And settled back in perfectly after lockdown. upping it to two days when she is two as number 2 Is on the way. Definitely think it depends on the child
