But seriously, what do you do when you haven't got kids to escape from? DD has her mate here still. They've done their own bacon butties and made plans for the rest of the day, so what does one do, when one has no kids at all? I can't stay here all day, thats just wrong. Trouble is all my rl mates have children who do need looking after, so I can't go on a girlie shopping trip or anything similar. Have you got DGD there Shosh, if not, what do you do all day. (and don't say plan next weeks meals and do your paperwork!)

Where you off to in London tonight then? Anywhere exciting?
I've decided to go shopping at BlueWater shopping centre. DD has also decided that since its her birthday next week, maybe she should come too - what a suprise! So, she's ditched her mates in favour of mum my money!

just one? Had to laugh to myself when shopping for party goodies, bought sweets for prizes, sweets and popcorn for the film, a lovely chocolate B'day cake and a token box of strawberries for the healthier children! (who is HP trying to fool? the children will all eat the chemical food and leave the strwabs)
Am sitting in the corner, rocking gently and sucking my thumb, will take shosha offer of a valium thankyou very much.

Actually I haven't been yet! We've cleaed out her wardrobe and made a note of what she really needs. Is seems to be mostly underwear! She also appears to have 5 pairs of jeans! We were meant to go 20 mins ago, but DH has had a boat emergency, so I've got to wait for him first, coz w need to drop him at the footie club on the way.
