Hello..

Bump for you again..

Just as a reference about wages! As a childminder in West London I charge £5 an hour (most childminders here charge £6 an hour). Im not local to you so of no use....but just wanted to get you to check the wages you are offering are appropriate for the amount of hours you require, most chldminders have fixed rates so can often be best to ask the childminder what their hourly rate is, rather than offering a fixed rate. It might be easier to find a childminder that way.

How about employing a mum with children. Before I was registered as a childminder I used to nanny on a share basis with my son (taking into account I was a nanny for 10yrs before I had kids, so lots of exp etc. I used to charge much less then (about £3.50 an hour) as it was shared care with my son..worth considering, I only worked part time so never crossed the tax threshold. My employers did have to pay my NI but thats not very much...not only was I much cheaper then than using a childminder but I used to help with the laundry and tidying up etc

Childcare in London is SO expensive!! But as a childcare provider I understand why it is so expensive...
