Yes, very first day as a CM - got a 4 year old boy in the afternoon so I know it will be fairly easy... but I'm still nervous! Any first day tips?

Realx, enjoy and have lots of activities planned!

I can still remember my first day as a childminder (it was a long time ago!) I had a 6 month old baby, and all I could think about was "why on earth would someone trust me with their child?" !!

I agree with henni - have a few ideas of things you could do, including anything involving glue or paint, outdoor play (garden or park maybe) etc. Don't let him do anything that you don't want him doing (like leaping over settees) as you need to start as you mean to go on.

The time will fly by!

Hope it all goes well SM! I'm sure you'll be fine. Pop into the Staff Room for coffee if you've got time! There'll be plenty of advise in there too!

Good luck. I'm sure you will be fine, as TP has said make sure you start as you mean to go on, and have fun.

(and we want a report tomorrow night)
