Childminders with no children on their own...

Are there many childminders out there without their own children? All the childminders I've ever met either have children of their own at home as well, or grown-up children.

Would parents choose a childless childminder?

Title should be 'of their own' not 'on their own'

Yes a BF was a childminder long before she had her own child, she was a care-worker before that .

Another friend was a nanny before marrying and becoming a childminder.

or some like Madge7 on here are waiting to adopt, just because you dont have your own children, dosnt mean that you are not good with them.

Good afternoon shoshable! Did you have an enjoyable shopping exped?

I think some people may prefer a childless childminder because they may think that a cm's own child would get preferential treatment to theirs. All the children are equal so to speak.

That's a good point tori - I hadn't thought of that.
