I have a couple of nanny jobs. A solo family and a nanny share. They have all told me to stay home as they aren’t key workers and can juggle working from home.

We are talking about keeping in touch via a video chat platform.
I’m thinking maybe just chatting to them to begin then trying to do a few activities with them. Not sure if it will work but willing to try.

The parents should manage with the education side of things (younger kids and part time Mum’s) so I was thinking of focusing on fun things like we normally would do.

So far I have:
-Read then stories or older ones could read to me.
-Indoor scavenger hunts to find household objects
-Board games like snakes and ladders and one of kids could ‘move me’
-Be organised with resources required so parents could have set out and set craft activities. Perhaps a theme to draw something each day and I can take part as well.
-Lego challenge
-exercise games

Anyone else keen to try this and also add your own ideas?

Hi, not sure how you’re getting on with this? I’m looking at doing the same. Great ideas! I was thinking about doing scavenger hunts within the house (depending on their ages), mine are phonics age so could do ‘find everything in your play area beginning with a ‘d’. Or find 3 red things. Have you found what’s worked and not worked?
