Is this the Introduction to childminding practise one?

I did mine back in 2005 but understand it has all changed now? Do you attend a course?

franyfroo · 10/09/2007 13:55

Are you doing ICP or another unit, and are you attending a course or distance learning? I am doing this at the mo, may be able to help you x

I've done my ICP, and working on the other units for the DHC. Which units are you stuck on as I might be able to recommened good books?

As a starting point the Diploma in Home-Based Childcare textbook is useful

Expect you may already have these, but if not perhaps they will help:

  • DHC Assignment Guidance
  • DHC Handbook 2007

Perhaps a starting point is to tell us which particular thing you are stuck with, so we can then help guide you as to what CACHE are wanting.

UN Rights of the child - try this poster as a starting point to understanding what the various Articles are.

  • UN Rights of the child - text

The UK ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child on 16 December 1991. Child protection guidance will often refer to it.
