CM club - do any of you take s**t from parents just because you need the money?

I do and I'm starting to get really fed up

feel very used by one mum taking the mickey big style, but need the cash

Me too - my main reasons for putting up with parents who mess me about are that I cannot afford to lose them (although this hasn't stopped me giving notice very recently), or I think alot of their children.

Sort of........in the past I have because I've needed the money, I don't have to worry so much now as I know I could replace any of my current mindees very easily as have people waiting. The reason I put up with the s..t is because i'm very attached to my mindees as I've had them all from a young age. If it wasn't for the kids, I would have given notice to my 2 sisters ages ago (having said that, parents aren't so bad these days).

I think you'll find loads of us put up with crap from the parents!!

A mum recently suggested that she would find alternative care if I didn't 'xyz' I said fine

She went away researched other C/Mers & came back & apologised and has been really nice since....I wonder why?

good timing with this thread, i have a family who i used to need the cash from, however, lately i feel having them is becoming more ahssle than its worth and much more stress than required, although i would take a cut, im glad to say if push came to shove i could happily do without the hassle!

Hi, I am not a CM but my DD2 goes to one, and my DD1 used to go as well. I always try not to mess with my CM, I always pay her on time ( I like to be paid on time too) but I know she has problems with other parents. I always tell her, that she should speak with the parents, because, she mihgt need the money, but parents need the childcare, and good childcare, is difficult to find, and the trust that you and you LOs have with the CM is very important.
