A lovely warm september morning here ahhhhhhhhhhh.

Going to play in the garden this morning, other CMs are coming around (and I am going to drown Tori in the paddling pool that will stop her comments about my young spruce body) so should be fun.

Actually cant drown Tori, it would put us over our numbers with Mindees

Morning all (well shoshable actually - but everyone else when they get here)

Did you see my bit of excitement yesterday?

LoveMyGirls · 07/09/2007 08:08

Morning!!

KM- what excitement?!?

I'm actually going to walk to school this morning in a bid to lose some weight! Tonight we are going out and the girls are staying with pil, i must be getting old now because i'm looking forward to the lie in i'm going to get more than the night out!!

LoveMyGirls · 07/09/2007 08:10

Ahhh I found it!! Well done, absolutly amazing news you must be so so so chuffed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

here is KM's news!!

LoveMyGirls · 07/09/2007 08:11

You definately deserve it!

Katymac · 07/09/2007 08:13

Well I was talking about this

But you can be excited about the other too!! Cos I sure am

saltire · 07/09/2007 08:17

Katy, that's great news about the nursery.

Shosha - did you find out what your problem was with the keyboard?

I was researching other childcare services yesterday, to see how likely I am to get custom when I start CM. The local after school club have just put their prices down.
A morning session used to cost £5.00 to cover 7.30 am throguh to 9am. They have put it down to £2.50. An afternoon session, covering 3.30 through to 6.15 used to cost about £6.00, now it's down to £3.50 for the whole session.. CMs aren't going to be able to compete with that

LoveMyGirls · 07/09/2007 08:18

Well that is good but your other news is what you should be shouting and screaming from the roof tops, you should be so proud!

LoveMyGirls · 07/09/2007 08:23

Saltire you will have to make sure your services are better than theirs, I know when dd1 went to kids club they didnt do homework with them or cooked dinners or outings or holiday care etc

Shoshable · 07/09/2007 08:23

Saltire we have a before and afternoon club with thopse prices, but people dont use it, everybody that has come to me for before/after care have all said they dont want their child in a school enviroment for 10 hours a day, feel that coming hewre is alot better, especially the younger ones, they get to tired.

And WELL DONE KATY!!!!!!!!

I was actually out but the babies (& other minders really enjoyed it)

Do you think I could expand the nursery co-op to cover the local childminders in some way?

dmo · 07/09/2007 09:27

good one Katymac great news for you gald your project is on the up

MaureenMLove · 07/09/2007 10:01

Good morning, good morning! I'm in a much better mood today! Finally got all my children back their routine! I think thats what is was you know, I'm desparate for routine! Anyway, up & at 'em by 6.30 this morning with first mindee, followed by one at 7.45 and 3 at 8.30am. Chilling and filling in the gaps from the six weeks I haven't seen a couple of them for this monring.

MaureenMLove · 07/09/2007 10:51

Nice one Katy, btw! After all your hard work, it would be a shame to not do anything.

Have you taken the littlies to the fair station? I haven't taken mindees, as I don't have enough, but I take my Rainbow Guides. Just in case you haven't or anyone else is interested, just give the local station a ring and they should be happy to accommodate you. (They're nice round here anyway!) I've also done a visit to the local library when the childrens librarian is in. Thats nice too.

MaureenMLove · 07/09/2007 10:52

Ok, just to clarify - I mean FIRE station not fair station, I've no idea what one of those are!

PinkChick · 07/09/2007 11:36

Hi all, having a horrible horrible day(have a look at my thread about making a descision)..when your children become rising 5(my dd) what do you need to do so ofsted will up your ratio?, just send them letter with your details on?thanks

LoveMyGirls · 07/09/2007 12:31

PC i've replied on your thread hun. When you dread the days it's stopped being worth it i think.

Which would you rather do, keep these children or lose them and do a bar job til you fill the space? When your answer is i'd rather have a pt job that is the time to give notice imo - dont know if anyone else agrees?

PinkChick · 07/09/2007 12:43

i know thanks chick...
it would work out either way without this family and TBh im sick of banging my head against a brick wall.
Ive had threads about this child since day one now abdout how difficulat i find it with her and i was once accsued of not liking her..TBH, i dont not like her, but i dont like looking after her anymore, thats when its not worth it, so i know what ill be doing, just have to work out how/when...i need to get myself some assertivness, cos this mother made me feel like i was in wrong for taking my dd to school on time this morn, even though i walked home, than back again to school to accomdate her

LoveMyGirls · 07/09/2007 13:07

Thats ok PC you would do the same for me that's why i lvoe this site so much, when i htink about everything i've learnt from coming on here for the past (erm got to be about.....) 5 yrs now, it has made me so much more confident, i feel i can express myself better to women of all ages, whereas before i felt like a silly girl who no-body listens to, which is not good when you do our job! So thanks everyone for your support and guidence, my business would never have started without this site because i doubt i wou7ld have got half the information or have of the life's experience's i've had shared with me meaning I am much more capable of making it successful.

Waffled on now haven't I and i've not even had a drink! God if i ever meet any of you in RL im going to so !!

PinkChick · 07/09/2007 13:10

LOL..and i swear down..hic..i lurve..yer alll..sooo...muchhh..hic

i feel like that silly girl no one listens to in rl at workit kind of comes with the territiry of being all mary poppins ish doesnt it!

parenth i cant pick dd up until a week thursday instead of 2pm tonight..us: oh yes thats fine no problem..

LoveMyGirls · 07/09/2007 13:13

Yep, always the same and it's always said in such a nice manner, like when new mindees dad arrived at gone 6 last night and 2 of my friends who i have not seen in ages had turned up 10mins before and i felt bad for having them here but i did think well this is my time now...... he said oh im so sorry and i breezily said its ok no problem shes been an angel (well bit of it was true!)

Hey would you like to msn me sometimes? ([email protected]) I'm not really im loverrrly!

PinkChick · 07/09/2007 13:17

i had to turn msn off as casued my pc to age about 60 years and go all doddery, but i can eamil you? is it same addy?, ill email you mine as details on here may be found by persons concerned and dont want address on same thread!

looneytune · 07/09/2007 17:11

Hello people

I'm in a MUCH better mood today, LMG's caused me to cry yesterday (but it's a good thing, believe me ) and it made me have a good look at a few things and today I woke up MUCH more positive!

So sorry for not getting back to the staff room yesterday but thanks for those who gave advice

I decided that I WILL have mindee on Mon & Tues, I was just so tired and down yesterday and was behaving like a cow!!!

Anyway, this morning baby slept and I did LOADS of stuff like sort ds's room, put washing on, put clothes away, hung washing out, sorted the kitchen etc etc.

Now............would you kindly help me out with this thread about weaning baby/milk intake as no-one in the weaning area is about to answer it

Pretty please!
