Dd2 has caught chicken pox off mindee he is still covered in scabbed ones and is here at the moment, i've taken dd2 to the docs this morning and she has definately got them. Older mindees are off until next wednesday anyway but i intended to charge for bank holiday monday (havent charged her for the last 2) but when she returns on wednesday what will she think, as her children wouldnt have come on the monday due to my dd2's illness iyswim? So do i charge as i wont be having them and its just bad luck or not? (both older mindees have already had chicken pox but the younger one has had it twice and she doesnt really want them getting it)

Also where do i stand with ofsted, am i allowed to take minded children when mine have a contagious illness?

Yes, take them if you want and they want, sounds like most of us do. IMO, you can only charge for the bank holiday IF the kids DO come after that. So, the one who wouldn't come, I wouldn't charge iyswim

Hiya LMG, bad luck about chicken pox. Yes I would remain open too, notify parents in case any PG then plough on.. I can reccommend keeping E45 cream in fridge, it goes on lovely and cool, so soothing. Plus Eurax cream or lotion if the itch is unbearable. Aww bless
