Just incase you haven't heard that Mattel have recalled some of their products. DD is gutted as she has two of these products which she now can't use.

Thanks for that Henni. I had heard, but it hadn't sunk in yet! My dd has one of the Polly Pocket sets too. Now, the question is, IF I send it back do they send a refund or what? The reason I ask, is that dd isn't exactly the age to swallow something, she's nearly 12! But on the other hand, she barely plays with it, so I could get her something else! Is that a bit naughty?!

My DD has about 8 of those sets they show and some of the magnets fell out of the dolls (the rubbery bendy ones), so I wrote to them and they sent me more dolls to replace them. I wonder if more people have complained about them.

My DD age 5 was in tears tonight as she heard about it on the radio while in the bath. I told her she would just have to send back her magnetic doll and clothes, but that, of course, is her favourite. Looking at the recall information, I now realise that the Ski Slope is also a problem, although there are a total of 2 magnets in it, both of which are extremely secure.

Do I send them back and break her heart, or just let her play with them anyway?

She asked what Mattell would do with her doll, and I said they would send it back to China where is was made. She is already planning a holiday in China to go and get it back!
