Any au pair with extra hours in East Sheen SW14?

Hello! We have twin boys that require picking up from nursery on Fridays and we are looking for a local au pair who would like to do an extra hour's work once a week. It may also include babysitting at night once the boys are comfortable with the au pair. Please could you message me if you know an au pair who might be interested? Thanks v much!

Most au pairs are probably already busy picking up the kids they are responsible for on a Friday afternoon.

Have you tried finding a local nanny or posting on Facebook? You may have more interest there.

You’ll have trouble with offering just one hour. It’s just not worth it to most people. You could try a local teenager though?

underneaththeash · 22/09/2019 14:36

What time is the pick up Liza, if it's early enough you may get an au pair who's free.

MrsMaiselsMuff · 22/09/2019 14:37

Yep, tight as fuck. You want au pair rates without taking on any of the responsibilities.

Shelvesoutofbooks · 22/09/2019 14:38

Have you tried posting on au pair groups?

Shelvesoutofbooks · 22/09/2019 14:39

@MrsMaiselsMuff I think this isn't about the pay or rater but as the OP only needs an hr in afternoon once a week an AP is more likely to be able to/want to do it than a nanny. It's very hard to find someone for just one hour a week

Have you checked out child minders?

Lizalondon · 22/09/2019 14:50

Thanks! It’s 12:15 which is a good few hours before the schools break up.

I'll ask around (we're not in the area, but a couple of friends are). I'll PM you if I get any takers!
I'd post on London au pairs Facebook group too.

In that case it's quite probable you'll find an au pair who can help. There are a few au pair facebook groups to post an ad on, I'm sure you'll have a lot of interest:

Oh wow thanks so much! :) I'd be happy to offer a couple more hours a week if that would help too. I don't have an FB page but can create one for this

@underneaththeash, thanks so much for offering to help ask around. I'd be really grateful if anyone local knows of or has an au pair with a few hours to spare a week. I'll create an FB page to post it too. Thanks again!

@roses2, as you can see based on my replies here I'm not great at threads or posting messages for that matter (eek!). Thanks again for the recommended pages. I will post asap!
