Hope someone out there can help me. I have a mindee who usually comes to me for 10 hours a week.(2 hours a day) In the holidays this is only 8 hours a week, (2 days of 4 hours) but I still charge for the full 10.
Today my car broke down, and I was stuck in the middle of nowhere waiting for the RAC to come, so I had to phone and cancel her coming at very short notice. I really hate letting people down, but there was nothing I could do.
Obviously I wont charge her for the 4 hours I was meant to have her and didn't today, but should I only charge for the 4 hours yeaterday, or 6 hours,(the usual 10 minus the 4 I couldnt work)
advice appreciated.

I would charge for 5 hours.

Charging for 5 hours (one holiday day) seems reasonable though you might want to charge for only 4 as a good will gesture.
