What do you think? He has only just mentioned it and she is due to look after him again today. It's only for 1.5 hours and he says he had a good time, but it was not really what I had planned when I asked her to do it. I am paying her £5 an hour.

I am inclined to leave it, as she is only looking after him a couple more times for me this summer, and he said it was fun, but do you think I am being unreasonable to be a bit about it? One of the friends is completely dappy and I wouldn't trust her with a hamster let alone a child. I just wonder if their attention is completely on ds while they are together. Hmm.

I was a bit about some of the things ds used to tell me about it - but cruicially I wasn't paying her - so unless it was dangerous I didn't say anything.

You are paying and you are not related, however teenage girls do like to show off cute children to their mates - so it could just have been that.

No I feel fine about it now - it helped to discuss it. I am not at all fond of this one dappy friend (and childcarer knows it) which is what I objected to most, but it is not worth getting in a stew about. I felt slightly hoodwinked, as I think if she had been being entirely above board about it, she would have said "Oh we had a great time, we met X and Y and we all played with ds." But I don't think it's a big deal.
