We are taking on a new nanny, and planned on paying her monthly and simply transferrring the childcare vouchers over from the nursery to her. BUT she says she wants to be paid weekly - surely that won't work? How can we pay her weekly if we only get the vouchers monthy?
Any advice pleeeeeease?

It'd work, she'd still be getting the same money but spread out over the course of each month rather than in one go. You'd just have to divide her year's salary by 52 rather than 12.

You could try to come to some sort of aggreement where you give her the vouchers one week (or some of them) then chequeS for the others?

Remember though that in my experience as a voucher-paid nanny, the money takes about a week to reach your bank account from when you post them off to be redeemed, so maybe on the voucher weeks you'd need to hand them over a week in advance.

Hope that makes sense!

wouldnt divide yearly salary by 52 as there are more than 52 weeks per year

52.14 in a normal year 52.29 in a leap year

asssume u are paying weekly though so it wont be an issue?

can you pay her with your child care vouchers 1 week per month and with money the otehr week

i know my boss gets about £293 per month and that wouldnt even cover 1 week of my salary!

Is there a reason she wants to be paid weekly? I would pay her monthly even if the first month you have to pay her every 2 weeks so she has some income

Well she says she's being paid weekly at the mo, but it would be much easier for us if she got paid monthly.
Maybe I'll suggest the 2-weekly thing.....

thanks.
