Good morning to you all, we have a sunny day here but very chilly. The mindees came in this morning and got the play kitchen out. I am waiting for them to ask if we are going out today!
Have a great day everyone.

ive not started yet, dd still poorly and just found outt hat dp's mother(who doesnt speak to us/we dont speak to her..long nasty story on her part) has been found by her other son this morn havinga fit in bed, face all contorted o one side and breathing but not concious..she opend her eyes as they took her in abulance but doesnt know where she is/who she is..dp's efence mechanism has shot up and although he said to let him know of any news(sil is going with her and ringing me when anything changes) he said hes not about to go running as it enforces now how much she hurt him and he cant firget that..sad i know, but we're not talking normal family row here..but i know deep down he will want to see her, dont know if he will tho?

LoveMyGirls · 08/08/2007 09:07

Aww bad news PC! I would just let him do what he wants to do and support him whatever he wants to do, thats all you can do.

Nice and sunny here we're off strawberry picking in a few mins at the moment 2 are eating breakfast 2 are playing playdough and 1 is drawing

LoveMyGirls · 08/08/2007 09:09

Oh if anyone knows about childcare vouchers please can you give me some info on how they work and if its a good idea please?

PinkChick · 08/08/2007 09:11

thanks..its doubly ahrd at moment as hes been trying to maintian contact withhis father who left yers ago and after few emails nothing, so think he feels he cant let his guard down to get hurt again

MaureenMLove · 08/08/2007 09:55

I feel for you PC. Families ar very difficult aren't they. I know if something major happened to one of my relatives, I'm not sure I'd be rushing to the bedside either. No-one wishes illness on anyone though, so I hope she's ok.
I'm having a hell of a day! NOT!!! Mindee arrived at 8.20 and I dropped him off at his footie course at 9.20, doesn't need picking up til 3.30! Job done then! Have a nice day all, I'm gonna cut the grass!

hi ya'll weather can't make it's mind up today - sunny and hot, freezing the next. Yeesh

Hey - anyone know of cheap washable paint and rolls of paper, where can I get them? Paint is pretty expensive but we are really going through it! And I don't get on with the powdered stuff to be honest

crace · 08/08/2007 11:59

PC - sounds terrible, what a horrible place for your dp to be in. Bless you, will be thinking of you x

crace · 08/08/2007 12:00

LMG - vouchers - I am about to sign up for Busy Bee ones as my new mindees parents want me to. I don't mind, they will be dd into my account and the rest by cheque. Will see how it goes!

Shoshable · 08/08/2007 13:41

Lmgs signed for my first vouchers today from one mindee, again dd straight into my account will let you know how they go

KaySamuels · 08/08/2007 15:18

Oh am starving just having my lunch!! Mindees just gone home.

Had a mum visit today with little boy, gonna let me know on Monday either way - really hope she picks me, they're both lovely!

I am interested to know about how vouchers work out too, have never used them either.

saltire · 08/08/2007 15:26

Hello!

LoveMyGirls · 08/08/2007 15:35

I think i've worn mine out! mindee who is not allowed to sleep fell asleep in the car, dd2 fell asleep in the car and dd1 said she was going to her room to watch a dvd n i went up to check on her at 3pm and her tv wasnt even opn and she was flat out! (shes 7)

mumlove · 08/08/2007 15:36

Afternoon to you all, have just topped up the mindees with fruit and water, now to make a coffee for myself.
Still have the sun out here, we have been to the train station to watch the trains comming and going, the mindees didn't want to leave even though the trains run past my back garden!
Going to a park with a paddling pool tomorrow if the weather stays nice, will wait and see.

Vouchers can vary because of different companys that do them. I only had to fill out a form and send it off with a copy of my registration certificate, then they go into my bank by dd once the parent has asked for it. Some you get sent a paper voucher then you need to phone up the company to get it transfered into your bank.
