Hi I have a mindee tomorrow booked in 8.30-5.
His mum rang today and asked if I would mind taking him to his friends house at 11am as he has been invited round to play. She also said that once he is dropped off I will be finished for the day as she will collect after work
She paid me on Monday(6th) for 3 full days but now I am only having him on Wednesday for 3 hours do I reimburse her or knock off total for next week? Or do I keep money as such short notice.
She paid me a full day Mon even though he went to an activity for 2 hours but then I picked him up and dropped him off.
Please help am confused. What would you all do?

I would keep the money. She booked you for the three days and you are available, so its up to her if she wants him to go elsewhere.

She booked you for full day, so she should pay for full day.

I usually charge in full for days booked, and I don't make reductions if they arrive late, are collected early or are off sick/take day or part day off.

When a parent books time for their child they are booking it for the sole use of their child - in order to keep their place available you may have to turn away other requests for childcare.

I only waive the charge if I am fully booked and their place is used by someone else and no longer available to them. I don't charge 2 families for the same place.
