Just that really. Hoping to get a nanny once a week as baby girl will be going to nursery 2x a week. Any idea of rates in the SW London area please? Or how I find out? Xx

I would budget £150 a day gross ( all inc)

Try ringing up an agency in your area. I'd say 11/12 nph that nannies are paid.

I get 12 pounds an hour net. For 5 days a week 7:30-6

I wouldn't recommend an agency - their aim is to place someone quickly and in my experience they don't really match people particularly well!

Childcare.co.uk is a great site where you can set up a profile and connect with nannies in your area.

Would this be your first nanny?

Cora1942 · 14/08/2019 06:43

You need to agree a gross rate not net. Otherwise you could be liable for unknown tax if your nanny has a second job.
London gross rate is more £15-£16 per hour. £11 to £13 in South East.

We're in southeast and pay £14/hr for 48 hrs
