Hi all
I've been lurking for a week or so, and thought I'd get an ID and start posting.

I'm mum to a one year old, and currently working in the wrong career - both in terms of satisfaction and flexibility/time with family. I've thought about becoming a CM for a year or so now, but am now going to make concrete steps towards doing it, and have made the first one - ie signing up to ofsted registration thingy.

I'd love to hear from any CMs who became a CM through a career change, or just any CM who feels they could give me warts and all advice about the job, and any elements of the job which took you by surprise or presented particular challenges.

I have a degree in french and am planning to offer language activities to my mindees, and since my son is currently in nursery I have a good idea of the kinds of concerns and issues facing parents and kids who use childcare...

all the same I'd love to speak to some real CMs and get to know people here!

many thanks

MoS
