English courses for au pairs? Are there any free ones?

Our first au pair starts in September. I've been in touch with the local college and they offer English courses but we need to pay for these - fine if that's all there is I'm happy to pay. But I'm sure I read on here there are free English courses available to EU nationals? Can someone point me in the right direction and where I can find out about these in our area (West Kent)? Thanks!

think it depends on your council.
Ours has become much more careful, and free courses only for asylum seekers and those who plan on staying to work. So au pairs are excluded, their course usually costs about 160-200 per term.
