Universal credit & childcare

Hey, I am due back to work in July. I receive universal credit and my LB will be going to nursery while I'm there.

I have to pay the upfront cost (as nursery take a month in advance, so I have already paid Julys nursery fees). But I have heard that universal credit only reimburse you once childcare has taken place? If that's the case I won't get payment back until August.
Is this right or will they reimburse once they have seen you have paid??
Thanks xxx

Yes you have to pay each month, then supply UC with a receipt then they pay you back the percentage they are paying.

Submit the receipt/invoice anyway. Technically yes, they only pay once the childcare has taken place and you've paid the invoice but in practice I've had invoices reimbursed when only 1 or 2 of the sessions shown on the invoice have actually taken place. They seem to be fairly lenient on childcare so far
