NOW please before I lose my mind!

The house is a tip, the kids are suddenly unruly, I am running ragged, trying to do my job, and I rest my head in my hands and I sob.

oh, and I dont like to be the only adult in the house when my husband is away for work for weeks at the time.... (health issues, mine and ds2's)

I just cant do it. I am not supermum. I am an ordinary mum with 2 kids, trying to get some work done, am I asking to much? JUST PLEASE SEND A NICE AUPAIR MY WAY!!

ANYONE else in dire needs? let us moan together. MOAN!!!

Where are you? I know a lovely au pair looking for work in the Reading area.

Why does she want to be in Reading?

I'm a childminder and the family with 2 of the sisters I look after, have an au pair. Long, long story but she wants out (and everyone on here who knows, can understand why). She's got one more year of a course at Reading College so needs to be local to there HOWEVER I know she was including London in the areas she was looking, but I think this may have been just for work during the summer? Do you want me to ask her?

Please ask her, thanks. Does she already know her course schedule? Where is she from? Not that it really matters, but we prefer polish as dh is polish... I seem to be picky polly...

Starry, good luck.

Have you tried:
www.greataupair.com
gumtree
au pair world

Hmmm.... there are more, but can't think of them right now.

Talk to Mrs. Recycle.

Starry - welcome to the world of Supermum's!! In theory an AP sounds just what you need but in practice it is just like having another child around the house (unless you are extremely lucky). Let's talk about it tomorrow night!! The AP Looney knows is really nice but I think travelling to Reading would cost her more than her pocket money (not wages!!). I use au-pair-world.net and have a new AP starting in September.

Have you considered a cleaner?? Its the best £20 a week I spend and I get a bit of adult conversation every week. You probably wouldn't get this with an AP (unless you go for an older woman!).

Spoke to Au Pair and it's definitely only the summer she's happy with being away from the Reading area. Sure you'll find someone soon but agree with MrsRecycle, a cleaner could be a good idea

Looney, thanks for asking.

MrsRecycle, unless you are kidnapped by foxcub I shall see you tomorrow, am registered on aupair world, that is where I got my last one from and she was a gem. But it seems rather slow there at the moment, last time I got 30 applications a day!

Can't do you an au pair but can do you a fab live-in nanny (lovely filipino lady) from the end of August? Great with kids, fantastic cook and housekeeper. Wants to be based West London. CAT me if of any interest.

Thanks aaronsmummy, Putney is south of the river, you are in the north, so that is not really convenient then.
