When to advertise for a nanny

I need to hire a nanny to start mid October. When should I advertise the role? Not sure if it makes any difference, but we're based in South West London and the role is a part time one (3 days a week, 8am - 6pm). Thanks for your help

I always say the sooner the better, as I have always looked for roles months in advance, but definitely by the summer. Lots of change happens then as families have children starting school and no longer need nannies

Start now by creating ads/profiles. Then in July make effort to contact people who may fit your criteria. August will probably be fairly quiet so you want to have found someone by then ideally.

Thanks for the advice. I'll get cracking then!
