Hello, Well it's sports day again! but the sky is grey, will it go ahead or not. Taking bets now.
Also it's the school picnic so that would be cancelled to. Mindees are looking forward to sitting on the field with all the school children.
Will update later, got to do the toilet runs before leaving.

LoveMyGirls · 17/07/2007 08:37

Morning! I have baby mindee here today and I am so happy with him! He is a little star and mum is lovely! Just changed her hours and told me she will me paying me for all 5 days instead of 4 (nanna has him 1 day), pays me for extra hours without me hving to ask, and tipped me on friday!

I'm gonna keep away from those muffins - am on a diet and lost 2.5lbs last week!

Have a good day everyone.

dmo · 17/07/2007 09:31

looneytune · 17/07/2007 09:39

Morning all, just off to put the kettle on, be ready in about 10 mins if you want to help yourself then

LMG's, fingers tightly crossed for some good news soon. And to anyone else in a similar position! I'm just trying to get school holiday children but believe there's not much call for them around here.

Want to plan some things for the summer holiday's but with the weather like it is, not sure we'll be able to plan the usual stuff like picnics, country parks with paddling pool etc, it will have to be more a case of seeing what the weather is like Anyone else made plans and any ideas for keeping it cheap? I've only got my ds (4) and then Mon-Wed it's the sisters (2 on Sat & 7 months), Thurs & Fri - 5 month old.

KS - well done, you must be well chuffed

Anyway, kettle..............

saltireslytherin · 17/07/2007 09:40

It must be a huge kettle if it's going to take 10 minutes to be ready

looneytune · 17/07/2007 09:54

it's because I always end up taking ages by sorting something else out whilst in there etc!

looneytune · 17/07/2007 09:55

Anyway, better late than never!!

Teas are on the right, Coffee on the left - afraid we have no cake but help yourself to a Frusili bar!

PinkChick · 17/07/2007 10:02

argh, quick cant stay but please help..my oldeest(and been with me the longest) mindee cant be asked to flush the chain or pick up some toys lately without crying..she sobs, she says ive SHOCKED her??

this morning, i explained to her that yesterday i said she nor my dd could go on the grass on the bikes/scooters as we have a large hard area to play thrm on and if the did go on grass it would make it all muddy and we wouldnt be able to play other things on there..her um came and she took both the bike and the scooter onto the grass..i said to bring them back off as id explained we use the paths for those and she said no, my mummy says i can????..mummy ahdnt said anything nor did she reiterate what i had just said..so this morn, mindee come snad we get blocks out to build and i thought aon about ti and said oh, yesterday when ia sked you nbot to blah blah blah you ignored me when your mum came and took them both on, that wasnt good as id already asked you not too, why did you ignore what i asked when mummy came...cue the crying! and saying i shocked her!

shes just been to toilet(is going to nursery after hols so getting her more indipendant as shes much older than most og them) so she wipes herself and i said now can you flush the chain for me..cue crying?????

HELP..its only 10am, i cant do this all day!

PinkChick · 17/07/2007 10:03

sorry about rubbish spelling am trying to get this done and get back to playing.

MaureenMcGonagall · 17/07/2007 10:03

Morning gang! I've spent the morning sobbing! Just watched the dvd of the party we did on Saturday. Its wonderful. He finished it with all the baby pictures going across the screen with their names to Somewhere over the Rainbow (oh god, I can't even type it without filling up!) Is there anyone, apart from me & Shosh who are doing or done year 6 yet? I'm a complete wreck!

Saltire - I love packing for Scotland - you just never know what the weathers gonna be do you? Where does your mum stay?

Kay - its the best feeling when you get a good family isn't it. I've got one of those. She had an increase in her tax credits once and insisted on me putting my prices up for her. I told her to spend it on her kids, until April when prices do go up, but she insisted.

Right, I am working today! Mindee is having her quick 1/2 hour nap after breakfast and then I'll find something for us to do. Clubs and things are a bit confusing this week, because of the holidays, and its raining (again!), so we might have to have a visit to another cm.

dmo · 17/07/2007 10:53

my sons last day at primary school on thursday dh booked day off cause i know i will be crying
they have gone to the cinema today with school and we parents have organised a disco on wednesday night for the class and then they will have a leavers mass thursday morning (which i'm going to) and then a party in class followed by a 2pm finish

PinkChick · 17/07/2007 10:55

saltireslytherin · 17/07/2007 10:58

maureen, she is in Dumfriesshire, but nearer Annan and Gretna than Dumfries

dmo · 17/07/2007 10:58

well i have decided to have the next summer holidays off from school children and i am only taking children aged 5+ for before and after school

fifilou · 17/07/2007 11:27

(fifilou sneaks past the window..b1 and b2 in toe)

she whispers.......... 'quick b1 sneak in and crawl under the table, they wont notice.take the cake........go on lad, take it!'

(fifilou and b1 and b2 snigger and run off arms full of staff room naughties......teee heee!)

MaureenMcGonagall · 17/07/2007 11:29

We've got leavers assembly on Thursday too DMO. I'll be a mess, I just know it! They come home straight after and then back for disco in the evening.
Wish I was going to Scotland this year, but its too late now. The wee beasties are a nightmare on the West coast in August! We usually stay in Glen Coe.

MaureenMcGonagall · 17/07/2007 11:30

I'm back and wanting the biggest coffee going.
Sports day is now done (thankfully), and we managed the picnic to, even though the head wanted to cancel it as it was windy! But all the children really enjoyed themselves.
So going to have an hours peace before getting ready to go to school for the 3rd time today.

PC glad you got a call, I could do with some now.
