Is there nobody about today?

I'm kinda here. No kids to look after, so strictly speaking I don't have to be in here! Its getting really quiet lately. I think everyone is either busy with schoolies who have already broken up or gone on holliday themselves.

busy - busy rewriting H&S policy

I'm here. A slightly better morning, Ds1 woke at 6, but managed to keep quiet,and when DH got up at 7, DS2 was still fast asleep. However, still had the usual carry on at breakfast and getting ready for school.

Its quite here as well only one child yesterday till schoolies, two today, monday next week no daytime, then only the toddler.

Then starting the 23rd, new 7 month old, 17 month old, 4 year old, 2x 5 year old, 9 year old, 11 year old, 12 year old, so will be very very busy most are in for the whole summer as well.

Please send all known tranquilizers this way please

Anyone would think there's a new Harry Potter film coming out this week! I want an HP name - I'm a fan too, but I never get on the HP threads, because my brain isn't quite as good as the rest of yours and I haven't a clue what you're talking about most of the time. I'm off to think of an addition to MML!

It's this evening.
I got a reply from my MP. I wrote to him and said how silly it was getting people who were registered childminder, with all the neccesary checks and training to have to do it all again just because they had moved (through no fault of their own) from Scotland to England.

What did he say?

He agreed with me, and said it was daft, and that he hadn't been aware that "such a travesty" happened. he went on to say that it must have a big impact on our lifestyle, and that such a rule would affect service wives/partners more, especailly since we move around so much. He also said thathe had got in touch wioth some children's minsiter, and the Scottish executive to see what could be done

Well its a start, I suppose. It does seem daft, especially in light of the fact when you started doing this job, you knew that at some point you would probably have to move. You'd think that there'd be special arrangements put in place for people like you.

Good afternoon, well the weather has stayed dry so far today, but school still cancelled sports day saying the grass was to wet to sit on! they only now have 7 days left at school to fit in 3 sports days.
Have a coffee while mindees are either asleep or playing.
I wondered what all the funny names were for until I read everything.
