Looking for a host family for summer

Hello,
I've joined your discussion as you were talking about au-pairs. I'm a mother of a 17-year-old daughter. She is looking for a nanny position in August only. We live in Poland and my daughter would love to spend some time with a British family. She speaks English pretty well, is a scout leader in our area, very caring, responsible and reliable person. If you need a real help please contact me via my email: [email protected]

Has she listed herself on Au Pair World ( www.aupairworld.com )? That is one of the main websites for matching APs with host families

Yes, with no success. Maybe she's too young or the stay is too short.

She may be slightly too young, but also I think people would look for a one-month AP closer to the time, so it may just be too early at this stage

I think it’s both. My 22+ year old au pairs take a couple of weeks at least before they’re really useful and then she’d be heading off home 2 weeks later. It’s also too short a time to forge any proper relationship with either the host family or others.
She’s better waiting until she has more time to dedicate to it.
