INTERNATIONAL NANNY WEBSITES

The time has sadly come to entrust our one year old to a nanny.

Has anyone used the website www.greataupair.com ?

It seems quite expensive to use $60 for a month so I would like to hear from anyone who has had a good or bad experience with it (or any similar site).

We need a chinese speaker (my wife is malaysisan chinese) so are primarily interested in internationaly orientated websites/agencies...

thanks for your help!

Hi there. Just wondering if I can be of help?! I am a qualified Montessori teacher from Malaysia and am currently looking for nanny jobs. I speak and write Chinese fluently if that is an added bonus!!! I am in SE London. It would be lovely even just to be in touch with another fellow Malaysian. Thank you.

I have used greataupair.com. You can find nannies on there, but you have to weed through lots of unqualified au pairs. I think Malaysia is on the list of coutries who can get a holiday maker visa (working holiday vis? Can't remember exactly what it is called) so you should be able to hire direct from Malaysia if you want to.

The disadvantage of the holiday maker cisa is that they can only stay for two years, and can only work for a total of 12 months.
