I go back to work in june from my maternity leave me and hubby lookin into childcare as im goin back full time we have no relatives that can help or are reliable as she likes to change her mind alot. Not really sure what the difference is between universal credit or tax free and which would be the better option?

They're conpletely different...

UC is benefits, tax free is to help with cost of childcare (both parents must be working)

You can use the turn to us benefits calculator to see how much you would get under universal credit. It depends if you are in a universal credit area called a full service area then you have to claim universal credit you can't claim tax credits. If you are on tax credits already it's often better to stay on them. Working tax credit is the one that gives you help with childcare.
