where's the coffee...?

So, any bets on whether they will be two hours late with no phone call for the THIRD day running? Both my children are still in bed sound asleep too, and I want to join them And it's gray and miserable

But on the plus side I've lost 2lbs this week! Woohooo

Morning

Congrats crace that's great!
It's annoying yes, I have this too. Sometimes I use the time to make a cold lunch and put it in the fridge, or I get the antibac spray out while there are no kids around!
If you are a bed bug like me though you will just be thinking of the extra 10,20,30mins you could have had in bed. And yes, I know we are paid for it but I'd rather trade the money for sleep (ie 20mins sleep, rather than 20mins pay - irrational and not possible I know!!)

Hello. Had my coffee now I am waiting for mindee 3 to arrive so we can go to school and preschool.

Crace excellent, keep up the good work and then you can lose some lbs for me .

Crace, you have my sympathy. Are they the kind of parents who listen if you say them that you need notice if they are going to be late? The ones I had just didn't seem to listen to anything I said.

I asked yesterday, where is nannynick? I haven't seen him around since we got back online. has he left?

Report

crace · 27/06/2007 09:14

Sorry saltire, no he's around - he just doesn't visit us in the staff room. I saw him on several threads, and mostly at night me thinks. He's busy these days, I think!

They came "on time" only 30 mins late but I hate wondering when they will be here - Kay, am the same I would gladly take the extra 1/2 hour sleep in lieu of pay!

Morning! DH just gone out to do a job for a while, so I can stop painting! I wish I'd never suggested that since I don't have kids on a Wednesday, I'd do the painting - he's a lousey gaffer! Haven't had time to read all the posts yet, I'll pop back when I've finished and read properly. Have a nice morning!

Hi Jan! The weather was ok here earlier, if it was March anyway! In the last half hour though, its started to get really dark and the wind has picked up. Think its gonna pour down in a minute. I'm in SE London, where are you?

I'm told staff room goodies are completely fat & calorie free, so you could eat the whole packet if you like! Be quick though, Kbear likes them a lot!!

I've got a wicked cheesecake recipe, which I will now share with you! So easy, my dd has been making it for about 2 years on her own.

Packet of ginger biscuits crushed up and mixed with 2 oz butter. Stuff in bottom of loose bottomed cake tin. Mix 2 pots of marscapone with 4 oz icing sugar and zest & juice of either 2 limes or lemons. Chuck on top of biscuit base. Chill, job done! Tis fab.
