Blimey, I've just had the loudest half an hour ever! Mindee2 arrived. Very tired Dad said. Just back from holiday and a week solid with mum & dad. Last place he wants to be is here. So he is screaming at the top of his voice for DADDYYYYYY! Mindee1, who was previously happy as larry, just had lunch and all content, looking at mindee2, then her bottom lip starts to go and lets out the biggest cry ever! Total chaos, both want a cuddle, but both are too loud for each other and don't want to be near each other!! DH phones for a chat, NOT NOW! I yell and put the phone down! (Had to answer the phone, ignored the phone coz I was busy once and dd had broken her arm at school!) Anyway, mindees are now calm, mindee1 was due a sleep anyway and mindee2 is eating his lunch. Phew! Need a cuppa I think!

crace · 19/06/2007 13:15

Mo, I had that yesterday.. little boy screamed blue murder Muuuummmmyy forever. Poor thing, was happy in the end but it did make me feel bad for him.

Cuppa definitely in order!

Shoshable · 19/06/2007 13:23

Hello everybody, you all seem to have had ahard morning, we have been to soft play so they were all ready for lunch and bed so its quite here

MaureenMLove · 19/06/2007 13:27

So, mindee2 started shouting Eeyore up the stairs after he finished his lunch! Realised he was getting nowhere shouting daddy so he tried Eeyore instead. Sadly Eeyore is also out,so he starts crying again and woke mindee1 up! Finally, mindee2 has given in and gone to sleep, but mindee1 is happy smiley again! Guess who's tea is cold?

alison222 · 19/06/2007 14:21

Just had a coffee. Mindee and DD playing with microphone and singing twinkle twincle at the top of their voices. Sweet but loud.

mogs0 · 19/06/2007 14:56

dmo - I still haven't finished my accounts! I did start about 6 weeks ago but had to stop as I'd misplaced (lost!) last year's diary. I've found it now but never seem to find a time with no children to be able to do it.

fifilou - Hope you have a fab time at glasto! I went to the Isle of Wight fest a couple of weeks ago. There's something enoyable about drinking vodka at 11am and eating pot noodles without worrying about how much crap is in them!! Oh, and obviously the bands were good too!! I did struggle without shower and washing my hair though. I couldn't be bothered to queue for the showers at 6am. It was traumatic enough queueing for the loos!! Next year I'm going to learn to drive and buy a campervan!! Have fun!!

MML - I'm having one of those days too!

I have 3 mindees today (usually only 2) mindee1 has been away for nearly 2 weeks and has been greatly missed by mindee2 not that you'd notice by the way they've fought over anything and EVERYTHING!!! Had words with them about being nice to eachother and mindee2 burst into tears (I don't think I've ever seen him cry before so it really shocked me). I put them all down for a sleep but mindee2 just chatted for ages. He usually sleeps for 2 hours then I wake him up to go on the school run. He's been asleep for about half an hour so not sure whether to leave him sleep or get him up when the other 2 wake up (no school run today so could leave him a bit longer). Might text his Mum and see what she thinks.

MaureenMLove · 19/06/2007 16:00

Thank the lord they are all happy now - could kill the Teletubbies for introduction Again, Again to a childs vocabulary, but hey ho!

MaureenMLove · 19/06/2007 18:21

Why oh why am I such a push over!!! First I've had a hell of a day as I had last minute mindee that I don't normally have on a Tuesday, 'Yes' I said, 'of course I can - no problem!' Next, dd Guider phoned me, 'can you stay tonight we need extra hands?', 'Yes, I said no problem!' Then, mindee1 parent turned up - no money! 'No problem - tomorrow will do', I said' with myself! But small silver lining, I managed to say no to the mother who said, 'oh I'm off to Ascot on Friday, can you have xx for an extra couple of hours!!' On a Friday - I don't think so!
I'd like to say thank god today is over, but no! I've got Guiding duty again tonight, until 9.15pm now!

PinkChick · 19/06/2007 20:40

..i have got yet another text from part time parent saying her child will only be coming 'normal' hours tomorrow instead of hours she gave me..this is the fourth time now, i get everything ready for a 6.3o start 8.30 finish(get dd's stuff ready, ironed set out, get bathed hair washed clothes for next few days ironed etc) knowing i will be wokring long shift only to be told the night before oh had to chang shift or dp is off or mum is having child for morning etc etc..she only pays £17 extra for the long shift cos she already pays set hours even if she doesnt use them but am getting very annoyed at the flippant oh she wont mind shes just sat there waiting for me to turn up attitude> and theyve also started picking up late too, they arrange a certain time, but cos she pays for more hours(a medium of those she would need), they turn up 20-30 mins later without so much as a reason
